This is one of the first animes I've ever watched that was so In-Your-Face bad and lacking in many aspects. At first, the story was okay and a bit intriguing but as it progresses, it leaves the audience in doubt and bored.

Almost everything about this anime is way too much the usual for it to be enjoyed to a fair extent. The storyline is scattered and irrelevant to actually believe through the entire anime; the characters are poor renderings of over-used character stereo-types, from the hero guy to his precious childhood friend who loves him, to the silly schoolfriend duo. Certain characters were tolerable but mostly, the girl protagonist just BOTHERED me. Later on in the anime, I got the feeling that I just wanted to punch some sense into her.

The entire anime's setting is too much repeated, therefore it gets so boring enough for you to drop. There were action throughout, though it was repetitive, and somehow, it seemed meaningless. The explainations are out of thin air.

On a good note, the anime does have nicely done artwork, and accomplishes that type of art style pretty well. The anime's gore and blood is fairly well done as well. That was pretty much what I liked best about it. If you are looking for a good, interesting, and exciting adventure, you won't find one here. (The footage is good to use, though, AMV editors)

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
