| Summary: |
26 years ago, in a third-year classroom of a middle school, there was a student named Misaki. As an honors student who was also good at sports, the charming girl was popular with her classmates. When she suddenly died, her classmates decided to carry on as if she was still alive until graduation. Then, in the spring of 1998, a boy named Sakakibara Kouichi transfers to that classroom, and he grows suspicious of the fearful atmosphere in that classroom. In particular, there is a beautiful, aloof girl named Misaki Mei who wears an eyepatch and is always alone drawing pictures.Drawn to her mysterious aura, Kouichi tries to touch her, only to discover that the mystery goes deeper than he ever thought. |

For multiple reasons this is one anime that I will definitely recommend without a doubt.
First off, the way the story is told really reels the watcher in, and I was hooked by the first episode.
The character and story development is really well done and mysterious, leaving us wanting to know more or why something happened, so we keep watching!
The more you understand/work out, the more you realise why something in a previous episode happenned, and it all starts to add up. This is one of the beauties of the anime. Everything is done perfectly well with a reason, the dialogue and filmography too.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
