| Summary: |
Kurosaki Ichigo is a 15 year old boy that has an ability to see ghosts/spirits. Because of his ability, he is able to meet a female death god (a.k.a Shinigami) named Kuchiki Rukia. To save his family and friends from unwanted soul-eating spirits (Hollows), Rukia transfers her Shinigami powers to Ichigo. As Rukia takes on a human shell, together they solve mysteries involving spirits and hollows until from the spirit world comes 2 other shinigamis explaining that it is illegal to transfer Shinigami powers to humans and Rukia exceeded the time limit to stay in the human world. After they sentence her death for breaking the laws, Ichigo snaps and swears to everyone he will retrieve Rukia by breaking into the spirit world. |

Bleach is an alright anime, it is worth a watch if you already covered other great animes but this isn't as good as DBZ/naruto shp/ yu-yu-hakusho. It's kind of like those three but this one seems the most unoriginal, there are some parts that are really good but they don't last long. I find when something gets really interesting they stop at the end of that season early and jump into a completely new season which really pisses me off, then they finish it after that. I find Aizen to make the story really dull but I wont say why because I may spoil something. It does have some funny moments in it but it just doesn't feel like something I can get into seriously for long periods of time before I give up on it again. Also every time someone is about to die they either have a million characters just appear to save someone and pretty much no one ever dies, they usually come back (to help the main char at times of course) aside from the esparda that die off (at least as far as I know)

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
