| Summary: |
Kurosaki Ichigo is a 15 year old boy that has an ability to see ghosts/spirits. Because of his ability, he is able to meet a female death god (a.k.a Shinigami) named Kuchiki Rukia. To save his family and friends from unwanted soul-eating spirits (Hollows), Rukia transfers her Shinigami powers to Ichigo. As Rukia takes on a human shell, together they solve mysteries involving spirits and hollows until from the spirit world comes 2 other shinigamis explaining that it is illegal to transfer Shinigami powers to humans and Rukia exceeded the time limit to stay in the human world. After they sentence her death for breaking the laws, Ichigo snaps and swears to everyone he will retrieve Rukia by breaking into the spirit world. |

This anime started off being amazing. Loved the way they developed Ichigo as he progressed into saving Rukia from SS. Now as time went along this anime just start dwindling. The Bounto arc was average at best, and then they made it to the point that you can no longer tell that Ichigo is a main character. I haven't watched the anime since the last filler they went into and so hard to even want to watch with the trolling the manga has supplied, just don't know if I want to see Aizen take 50 shots that would normally kill someone but him he brushes it off like nothing. I say if you really want to watch the anime go with the first 70 or so and then switch to reading just manga.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
