| Summary: |
Kurosaki Ichigo is a 15 year old boy that has an ability to see ghosts/spirits. Because of his ability, he is able to meet a female death god (a.k.a Shinigami) named Kuchiki Rukia. To save his family and friends from unwanted soul-eating spirits (Hollows), Rukia transfers her Shinigami powers to Ichigo. As Rukia takes on a human shell, together they solve mysteries involving spirits and hollows until from the spirit world comes 2 other shinigamis explaining that it is illegal to transfer Shinigami powers to humans and Rukia exceeded the time limit to stay in the human world. After they sentence her death for breaking the laws, Ichigo snaps and swears to everyone he will retrieve Rukia by breaking into the spirit world. |

This anime started great in my opinion. It had everything that I wanted in an anime: action, drama, comedy and a cool story. The problem though is that so far everything has been mostly fillers. Like the Aizen saga or arrancar saga just ended. And I saw that already there was going to be another filler episode coming up. I don't mind fillers, but the problem with Bleach fillers is that most of the times the fillers are so unrelated to the story. I mean even Naruto has some good fillers that are not sooo unrelated. At least they try to make it fit with the story, but Bleach fillers are not even fun to watch.
Now most of the time whenever there is a filler I just skip the episode. When the episodes come back with the main story line, this anime becomes so good. This is the reason I still watch this anime, because of the main story line. Somehow though, I don't have the hype that I used to have whenever there was a new episode for bleach to watch. I still haven't lost hope in this anime, I think it can be great if they try to make the fillers to relate at least just a bit to the story line.
Overall, I think this anime started great, but with time it started losing it's greatness. I give this anime a 5/5 when it started, but now it has become a 3/5. I'm currently on the latest episode released.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
