| Summary: |
During a summer camp, 15 children, 8 males and 7 females, find a grotto by the sea. Deep within they discover working computers and some electronic equipment, and later the owner, a man called Kokopelli. Kokopelli claimed to be a programmer working on a brand new game, in which a large robot has to defend the Earth against fifteen alien invasions. He persuades the children to test the game and sign a contract. All but one of them signs, barely a moment later they mysteriously awaken on the shore believing what happened was just a dream. |

This anime is what you can describe as "What if..."
What seems to be a normal "slice of life" anime type, it really turns a 180ยบ, and turn to an amazing story about human nature and raw human emotions, with a LOT o drama!
The story tell us the life of 15 children, when faced with the unthinkable reality of being the "saviours of Earth". By winning each battle against the enemy they postpone the destruction of Earth. However, after some time they realize that "no good deed goes unpunished"...and they start to crumble towards the pression and the iminent future that is ahead of them. Knowing that they're doom whatever the path they took, we can see the pure and raw human nature.
This anime is a piece of art, where we can see the true human emotions and actions, without embellishing the scenery. It is what it is...no heroes or villains, just a bunch of kids with nothing to win, fighting for what they think is right.
Truly a TOP 10 ANIME...must watch it! ;)

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
