This was an anime I kept finding in AMVs on youtube so finally I decided to check it out and see why it seemed so popular. From episode one to episode twenty-four I was reeled into it and feel in love with its music, animation, characters and story.
The animation is unique in its use of colour. It captures the first moments of a dull and boring life drastically changed to be filled with life and colour. And of course it is also used for comedic purposes.
The story I found was never dull comedy is littered everywhere within the series. The characters within the story add to the comedy (especially Sunohara), give life to it and being a school life anime they are easy to relate to and loveable.
There is a bit of an alternate world that only makes an appearance at the start of each episode. The reason for it is not explained until the second season "Clannad After Story" so if you're wondering what its relevance is watch the second season afterwards to find out.

Comedy lovers I highly recommend it to you. There wasn't an episode that I didn't laugh my heart out. It is also a heartwarming story that can touch people's hearts (I wouldn't say it moves you to tears). It is a fantastic anime that I'll always watch over and over again
