The story of Lelouch a student with exceptional talent swho leads a somewhat boring and mundane life which consists of dueling elite&talented chess players accidently gets embroiled in a "terrorist"event. From this he gets a power called the Geass that he uses to face his own dark past. With this power he tries to creat a world where his younger sister can live in peace but this desire means him going head to head with his friend Suzaku who tries to change Japan from within the Brittania empire whereas Lelouch does it from outside.Ineffect if one has watched Deathnote and are a gundam fan then one will see the similarities to both series as Lelouch traverses the line between his despotism, chivalry, weakness and not to mention anguish&joy as he he is forced to face various adversaries of differing talents all the whiletrying to maintain the facade of a normal high school student. The twists and turns od the story are reminiscent of Death Note and the emphasis on the abilities and upgrading of the machines is that of Gundam.Overall it is the best anime I have seen since DeathNote in terms of plot&gundam in terms of action
