A Truly Unforgettable Series!

When I was introduced to Darker than Black by a friend, I LOVED it! I was late on knowing about Darker than Black, so by the time I began watching it, the Second Season had just finished. So I got all the episodes and began to watch them. I can honestly tell you this... after watching the first few episodes, I was HOOKED!! This has to be one the top ranking anime in my list! It was just done so good! The First Season (this) was unbelievably amazing. It developed the story & characters, introduced new stuff, and had a solid amount of action in EVERY episode. I will say this though, for the first few episodes there isn't THAT much action, but when it's there, you will be VERY pleased. The action scenes are just SOOO well done, and the main character has to be one of my most favorite characters so far! The characters are all so well done too. They have a solid backstory, advance the plot DRASTICALLY, and severely affect the outcome of the series, as characters should in a series. I found the whole concept of "Contractors" to be incredibly interesting, where if one uses their powers, they have to fulfill a contract afterwards, like eating a cigarette, etc.. It made this series unique which is what I loved! I loved the animation in Darker than Black alot too, because everything just looked so sharp and clean and they included some nice eye-candy (you'll eventually see it :P ).
All in all I recommend this anime to ANY avid anime fan. It caters to ALMOST EVERYONES taste, as it has action, adventure, some romance, bit of humor, and supernatural events. Watch this anime or else I'll find youuu! =P
