Summary:
Yagami Light is an ace student with great prospects, who's bored out of his mind. One day he finds the "Death Note": a notebook from the realm of the Death Gods, with the power to kill people in any way he desires. With the Death Note in hand, Light decides to create his perfect world, without crime or criminals. ~Death Note is not entertaining. @Morrogoth - Well that is YOUR personal opinion, and it's totally okay. But why write such a long review for an anime you don't like? Also, your statements doesn't have any hold at all. I'm not gonna make an ass-long explanation, I'll try keeping it short.
If you haven't realized yet, Death Note was released/made in 2006. So, the animation is pretty good considering it was made in that year = fact. Sure there are other animes made in that same year that have even better animation. But that's not the point.
I can only assume the people who says Death Note is not entertaining really doesn't understand what's going on in it. Or else you're just small school kids. I mean really, go turn on Disney Channel and watch Pokémon instead.
The story is original and interesting, the characters are VERY unigue, the entertainment and especially the dialogues are supreme. I couldn't stop watching it, I was so attached to the show! Maybe you just didn't understand it well, Morrogoth? Maybe the dialogues were a little too advanced? Whatever. I respect your opinion.
This anime is pretty serious, you should just stick to Sket Dance or some other soft anime. Not that there is anything wrong with that, I watch that kind of anime myself from time to time.
Guys, don't listen to the people that trolls on this anime. It's something you gotta check out. Afterall, Death Note IS in fact rated to be one of the top animes of all time.
And for those who enjoy Death Note, I would strongly recommend "Monster", "Phantom ~Requiem for the Phantom~, "Ergo Proxy" and "Code Geass".
