Yagami Light is an ace student with great prospects, who's bored out of his mind. Deathnote is one of the most compelling animes to watch; the story is full of dark and twisted dialogue and the characters themselves are confronted by how ambiguous good and evil can really be. There's some excellent animation and a hint of morbid humour, but overall its the main character that draws you in- he's the mastermind behind all that happens and he meets his match in the legendary character 'L'. This is a definite must see if you're looking for a brilliant storyline.
