Well, this series isn't much other than a good and entertaining Anime. I mean, it has good animation, very entertaining, but a not so good story. It probably just has too much cliche in it, where in the end, no matter how dead the main character may seem, he will always win. And the other problem with the story is just that it only seems to begin at the last 5-6 eps or so. Anything before that seems like random OVA's, where he must find a demon and kill it, with an okay-to-good to a sometimes cheesy story going on whilst that happens. But this series really isn't about the story. Really, it's almost like playing the game; it's about pure entertainment. Just watching how cool Dante is killing demons :D
So, yeah, if you want a really good plot with deep characters, this series is not for you. Want a fun, entertaining anime about demon killing? Watch this.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
