well deserved

fairy tail is a well rounded action fantasy anime that, while staying well in the mainstream is amazingly addictive and exciting to watch.
it tells the story of lucy, a celestial magician who joins one of the land's most famous magic guilds, fairy tail, and somehow ends up getting caught up with some of the lands most famous and gets stuck into all their problems.
surpringly, despite being quite mainstream, it knows how to pick fun at its own genre, so when lucy is playing the part of the useless girl, she really over does it!
otherwise, its fun to see something where one of the strongest charcaters is a girl, but at the same time, you're watching intently as the male lead's, (natsu) powers start to evolve.
great fun to watch with varied storylines, it leaves no character untended, and even enemies come back frequently in different positions. though, sometimes, because of everyone's developement, it kind of feels like a competition to see who has the most depressing back story.
also has a great soundtrack and mixes seriousness and laughs very naturally.
