Fantastic: Funny, Action, Adventure, Great Story, Great Characters

I love this anime. It's right up there with Bleach, Naruto, and Natsume Yujinchou (sp?) for me. The fights are not as epic as Bleach or Naruto and involve more dual action (parter fighting) than solo but this may change as the anime progresses. The manga is great too by the way! You should read! The characters really funny and likable (I swear the voice actors picked are fantastic - Lucy, Natsu, Gray, and Markarov are extremely funny and make extremely funny sounds, squeals, etc). The magic can be a tad corny sometimes but it's presented not too seriously and humor is always present. The characters are young enough that you feel youthful but not too young that you can't relate (many are about 17/18ish). It looks like the main story is going to be great and is slowly unfolding like with all good anime/manga and it's great to watch the main characters growing more powerful. There is chemistry between all the characters: there's rivalry, suggestions of possible future romance, best friend bonds, bonds that are fated. There are hints of romance, although as with most shounen manga/anime, like Bleach or Naruto (although admittedly Naruto has more of the overt kind than Bleach), romance is kept at a minimum. There are always hints and suggestions - especially it looks like between Natsu and Lucy, Gray and Erza, or Gray and Juvia, or Erza and Siegran/Gerard. But don't expect anything although it is possible that the end might see some pairings occur. All in all it's an anime for guys and girls. There's sort of ecchi (lots of revealing clothing, big breasts, and nakedness not shown) but there's no underwear flashing or overt echhi (Thank GOD!). Sorry for the long review! Enjoy!
