Summary:
Set in a slightly futuristic world where Earth has been invaded and is at war with aliens from another dimension called the Nova, the story follows the adventures of a Japanese boy named Kazuya Aoi who enrolls for training at a special school for genetically modified girls called Pandoras who battle the aliens, and their male partners, called Limiters, who use a special power called "freezing" to limit their opponent's mobility. The protagonist makes the acquaintance of an unusual older girl named Bridgette L. Satellizer who appears to be the most powerful Pandora in her class, but has not yet chosen a male partner to be her Limiter, and in spite of the warnings of all his friends, he decides to be her Limiter.
Welcome to my Review!
This anime is a mixture of Highschool of the Dead, Claymore and Rosario + Vampire but with it's own unique and amazing way of presenting all three.
This anime definitely takes a realistic approach with the art style (except for the obviously unrealistic breast sizes) and as i stated already, is quite similar to Highschool of the Dead. I've seen a lot of people making comments about the lack and unoriginality of the story, i can agree that it does share a few similarities with similar titles such as Claymore but i find that Freezing adds it's own flavour to the genre and has an amazing background story.
The characters are incredible, each one has their own background story which outlines their actions so you will find yourself going "Why'd they do tha...Ohhh..." quite a lot. Sure, the main guy is a bit of a wuss and well...useless but luckily he helps the heroine quite a few times during the course of the anime.
The Ecchi, its not THAT bad, a lot of it coincides with the story and there is nothing beyond breasts and most of you saw a pair of 'em when you were a baby so i think we're past that stage now...
Last but not least (Man, this review's gone for ages) is the music, and wow...When i first heard the ending song, it blew my face off and when i recovered it was on my Ipod. I love the music! The fighting music is your typical "badass-ery is about to occur" music but meh, i was too busy watching bodies drop.
Well, that's it! Thankyou to everyone who read this review and I hope i've convinced you to watch this anime if you haven't done so already :D
