Mai Taniyama is an average high school student who is fascinated by ghost stories and the paranormal. After accidentally breaking a camera and getting a man injured, she has to repay her debt by taking a part-time job as assistant to a psychic detective. This spunky 15-year-old goes from telling ghost stories to living one of her own, as the myths and legends she and her friends once enjoyed unravel before her. |

I'm 20 yrs old and I've been watching anime for about 10 yrs now, So I've seen alot of anime and I've never seen anything that comes close to as frighteningly and suspenseful as Ghost Hunt. This is the scariest anime I've seen. Anime's like berserk, Hellsing, Devil May Cry, Pet Shop of horrors, perfect blue, and Highschool of the Dead had monsters in it but they never really were scary.
I was watching this by myself at night and had to cut the lights on cause it was so scary. But yeah it has a good story and the episodes spans out into cases and each case is about 4 episodes.
Definitely check this out if you are a suspense and thriller fan cause it will have you jumping or turning on the lights. BEWARE!!!
I'm definitely i'm going to watch and episode or two on Halloween along with Soul Eater

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
