I have this anime on DVD - The Complete Collection Edition. This is one that I had to have on factory made disc and packaging to add to my personal collection.

Ghost hunt is an excellent anime all around. It has an excellent paranormal theme that is actually shown in a way that is not totally cliched and overused like the whole "Paranormal" movie and show craze that is swept the states.
I commend the japanese in thier unbelievably great storytelling. The Ghost Hunt crew is no exception. They take a genre that has the potential to be totally overused and make gold.

Ghost hunt has a cast of characters that is so varied and makes a great "Paranormal" Investigations Team. YOu have a cool intelligent calm headed manager with his assitant and a new young female trainee who is a total fan of the work of her new internship's business, ecspecially the owner. She finds out fast the man is different in person than the rumors and gossip that create the "story" behind him. Next you have the famous TV paranormal investigator superstar. You have an orthodox priest and a psychic, demonologist and all of them make an unconventional crew that are not all together in the same company, but they often end up on the same cases.

This makes for great tension, comedy, drama, bits of romance thrown in and not to forget the most important- creepy and totally great mysterious paranormal investigation antics that will surely give you some measure of enjoyment. I think alot of anime veiwing types could find fun here but it is not a super crazy demonic monstrous super battles against undead demons supernatural but a more para-psychology type of drama. That is not to say that it does not have amazing visuals and animation. It is along the line of the more subtle creepy eyes moving possesed doll, haunted items or a demonic presence torturing a family.

All in all a great mystery suspense thriller drama all mixed into a cool supernatural paranormal investigation crew theme. All the cases seem like they could be real hauntings but Ghost Hunt makes theme more action oriented and interesting through great animation and storytelling.
