So when a man she's just saved from a dog offers her his home, she jumps at the opportunity. But it turns out that his place is a shrine, and Nanami has unwittingly taken over his job as a local deity!
Nanami has all kinda of new responsibilities she doesn't understand, dangers she's unaware of, and a cranky ex-familiar who's... actually pretty hot. What's a new-fledged godling to do?

I will be honest, and admit that I was somewhat expecting something rather different from this anime based on it's description. In all fairness, I will say that it does meet it's description but to avoid someone else to meet the same confusion as I have - be cautious.
The story, albeit interesting, is told poorly and tends to become dragged out and boring near the end. There are times where it flows nicely but these parts are scattered apart, and I found myself just skimming through some of the later episodes just to find out what was happening, as I had started to lose interest. Make no mistake, the story is not BAD, it's just not told well. It's inconsistent. Lacks depth and doesn't feel serious enough, enough. It could have been a lot better, in my opinion. Usually, if an anime is interesting/good enough, I would search for it's manga, but this anime did not make me feel the need to do that.
The way that the story is narrated (at times) is also unnecessary, to a point where it is simply irritating. Some character dialogue is embarrassingly poor as well.
Animation wise, however, it is good. For what it is, it does portray a light mood. But alas, it is also inconsistent.
In the end it feels as if this anime just doesn't know what it is. Or rather, is too short to fit it all in. If there were some more episodes, and the story was told more clearly and consistently and it kept to a certain aspect i.e the romantic development between the two characters/school life etc - it could have been better.
