A biographical film about the life of Jiro Horikoshi, the man responsible for the design and creation of the famous Japanese World War II Zero Fighter aircraft. Inspired by the aesthetics of design and the freedom of flying, Jiro pursues a life dedicated to the creation of a beautiful aircraft. The film covers the passage of time from Jiro's childhood, filled with dreams of engineering, to adulthood as he creates an elegant, flight worthy plane that eventually is used for something quite different than he expected, war. |

One of the most Wonderful Films of Hayao Myiazaki

Of all the films that i have seen, this one is by far the most remarkable of Miyazaki Sensei. For those who still haven't forgotten is masterpieces since the 80's, you will feel proud of this one. A convergence of the imaginary world of Miyazaki and the reality of the world. It's addictive, and draws us to a world where wishes can come true despite the hard struggles of life, even the hardest ones. Nonetheless it is a very emotive film, and i hope all of those who see this last masterpiece Miyazaki Sensei find in their hearts the will to make their dreams come true, even when the world seems to crumble at your feets.
