I never expected that I’d enjoy watching “Kimi to Boku” as much as I did. After all, the drawing animation style seems quite laid-back that it gave me the impression there would be times where in I’d feel somewhat sleepy watching it. Don’t get me wrong though, I am not criticizing the animation style. In fact, I do like it. It’s just that when something is quite laid-back, I have this tendency to get relaxed and then just doze-off at some point. Fortunately, though it is indeed a light watch, it is not something that made me doze-off. In fact, every moment of it was full of feels for me—funny, entertaining, amusing and even heart-warming. It makes one nostalgic with all their fun and youthful days back in school and spending time with your treasured friends. It is simple but true. That’s why even if I am a girl, I can relate to some of the things that happened to the group. Even the opening and ending songs are great. This is indeed one of my greatest anime watches for this year and I am very much looking forward to watching season 2.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
