Last Exile: Fam, the Silver Wing is a new original tale in the Last Exile universe. It features new characters, new mechanics and an all new story centered around the young ace vanship pilot, Fam, and her trusted navigator, Giselle, as they pilot their vanship, Vespa, through the free and peaceful skies.

All source of life originates from the Grand Lake.
At this very sacred lake, the battle of Ades Federation and Turan Kingdom has begun. Ades Federation, armed with crushing force and massive battleships and its sights set to conquer the world, invade the Turan Kingdom. With the Ades troops heading to their beloved country, Turan now lies at the brink of collapse. The princesses of Turan (Millia il Velch Cutrettola Turan and Liliana il Grazioso Merlo Turan) look on as a small vanship named Vespa cruises above their heads.
"We'll steal your flagship from now, from this battle field!"
The Vespa continues to weave through the barrage of bombs, while the fleets of Ades close in on Turan.

Just watch the 1st episode..story- i don't quite grab it yet..its a bit chaotic for me..BUT, im just impressed with the intricate details of this animation.. really..it doesn't look cheap at all. Try connect this to your large screen TV..its like you're flying with Fam..i enjoyed the ride. Appreciate the art.. really. (but i haven't continue the 2ep though..hihi). Hope i've done justice to this anime.. (wat's up with the name Fam anyway?).

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
