14 year-old Madoka Kaname has a dream in which a dark haired girl is struggling against an evil force. As Madoka wakes up and goes to school that morning, the very same girl, Homura Akemi, enrolls in her class. Even stranger, Homura seems to know Madoka and later confronts her in the hallway about whether she cares for her friends or not, saying she should stay how she is or else she risks losing everything. |

Not really into any Series about Magic. The main reason to watch it was its soundtrack was composed by Kajiura Yuki and that was the start.
I was surprised to see new animations style although I've seen it before but not in anime production. The story line is completely original and I believe they kept an open ending with a little chance for a second season.
Don't waste time and watch it and you'll never regret it, it's a promise.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
