Naruto Shippuuden is the continuation of the original animated TV series Naruto.The story revolves around an older and slightly more matured Uzumaki Naruto and his quest to save his friend Uchiha Sasuke from the grips of the snake-like Shinobi, Orochimaru. After 2 and a half years Naruto finally returns to his village of Konoha, and sets about putting his ambitions to work, though it will not be easy, as He has amassed a few (more dangerous) enemies, in the likes of the shinobi organization; Akatsuki. |

Let's face it: Naruto is an awful series. Yet somehow it has been dragged out and there are hundreds of episodes.If you think Naruto is good, you may want to read my review and reconsider your opinion.
The art style is completely unoriginal. The character designs are bland and the backgrounds are lazily drawn. As for the animation itself, it may as well have been animated by monkeys. Visually, this anime is completely unappealing.
As for the story itself, it is completely pointless. The sheer tedium of watching character angst about their pasts and then fight about it is enough to make me want to tear my hair out. You would only be impressed by Naruto's story and characters if you are new to anime or even fiction in general.Do yourself a favour and watch something with actual artistic merit.
Maybe I would not complain about Naruto so much if it were not so long. But the problem is that people are wasting too much of their lives watching this garbage when they could have watched at least 10 good anime during that time period. Or maybe even read 10 good books.
If you seriously enjoy watching Naruto, I hope your taste improves soon. Otherwise, I may lose all my faith in humanity.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
