Summary:
Naruto Shippuuden is the continuation of the original animated TV series Naruto.The story revolves around an older and slightly more matured Uzumaki Naruto and his quest to save his friend Uchiha Sasuke from the grips of the snake-like Shinobi, Orochimaru. After 2 and a half years Naruto finally returns to his village of Konoha, and sets about putting his ambitions to work, though it will not be easy, as He has amassed a few (more dangerous) enemies, in the likes of the shinobi organization; Akatsuki.
Ok, I liked the first season of Naruto. I wouldnt have called myself a fanboi or anything, but I actually liked it. But then, Shippuden came out. I tried watching it, I tried liking it.
I couldnt.
It has become the latest of the DBZ style stories, where it is all about who has the biggest and baddest technique (when they're not doing fillers which are low quality just so they can stay at pace with the manga) and nothing more. The techniques are getting bigger (not better) and its like "super saiyan level 2, level 3, when does it stop?" mentality.
And yes, I LIKED Dragon Ball in its day, and the early part of Dragon Ball Z as well. So it's not like I hated DBZ from the get go, they created a story that was nothing more than an animated arms race. Which is what Shippuden has become.
