| Summary: |
Due to a deep trauma at school Sakurada Jun has refused to return. He spends his time in his room, surfing the web and ordering anything that takes his fancy, only to return the items just before payment is due. One day, he finds a web site that tells him to put his order in a drawer of his desk. He does so thinking it to be a joke, only to find that the letter disappears and a strange package arrives soon afterwards. It contains an exquisite doll, that, when wound, comes to life. She treats him as a servant of little worth, but over time helps him come to grips with his fears and in the life-or-death fights that soon follow her arrival. |

This anime can’t be described in some simple words. The story may be seen simple, but it’s far from it. A single destiny, that takes them to a story of eternal seeking appreciation and love; this constant search and the endless fighting seems to be pointless to some; but in reality it’s what they most desired. To be the only one at the center of their world.
The characters are just some of the best I’ve ever saw. Shinku, Suigintou, Hinaichigo, and so on; each one has something that makes you really care for them, and hope that they can stay happy :p
I think Shinku have one of the most “powerful” personalities: she can sometimes be cruel, scary, have superiority complex lol but always caring and helpful. Without Shinku this anime wouldn’t be half as good (in my opinion). But Suigintou also brings this anime to another level. The story between those two is the main stage in the 1st season, and it’s amazing!
Anyway, I truly recommend this anime to everyone. You won’t be disappointed ;)
PS: there’s also an OVA that tells the story of Suigintou. And I just loved it! Go see it too ;)

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
