Summary:
The school romantic comedy revolves around a second-year high school student named Sorata Kanda who lives in Sakurasou, the dormitory for problem children at Sorata's school. One day, Mashiro Shiina —a cute girl who happens to be also a cosmopolitan, brilliant artist— moves into Sakurasou.
Sorata thinks to himself that he should protect Mashiro from the weirdos at Sakurasou, but Mashiro has a surprising secret: she has no idea how to take care of herself. She gets lost if she goes out, and her room is a complete mess. Sorata's dorm mates designate him as the "master" of Mashiro, and thus, an ordinary boy and a brilliant girl must live like "a master and his pet."

In this genre of anime (high school comedy/romance), this is one of the better ones I've watched. All aspects of it are reasonably good. Especially the characters. They're all enjoyable to watch. (Except for a few things which I shall mention soon.) Personally, the intricate "relationship" that the two lead characters develop is also one of the more interesting ones, in my opinion. The "extremely useless" outward appearance of the (very attractive) female lead character is also very funny.
The setting is also pretty "realistic" in a sense. Nowhere did I find while watching this anime was anything too far fetched or "overboard". Everything is well thought out and it all makes sense. The plot is well paced and I never felt bored at any time, nor did I feel that it was too rushed.
Animation wise, it's all good. The quality of the anime itself is very high. Voice acting is very good. Art style as well. One aspect of it that I like about it is the "soft" look of it. I don't know how else to describe it. Almost as if everything has a slight "blur" - Perhaps some may not like that, but I did.
When it comes down to a review, however, there has to be mention of some or other "not-so-good" aspects. If I had to mention anything it would just a slight dislike of some parts of the lead character. His personality, at first, as well as his mindset is rather flat and somewhat irritating (being "hopeless" in a sense) but this is soon no longer an issue when he and the female lead become "closer". Other than that, I really cannot think of anything really "bad" about this anime. It's lighthearted and simple. Fun and entertaining. That's all there is to it. :) Give it a watch, you may end up enjoying yourself!
