A television commercial from Marvelous Entertainment has announced that an anime has been green-lit for BaseSon's Shin Koihime†Musō: Otome Ryōran Sangokushi Engi adult adventure game for personal computers. The game is spinoff from the Koihime†Musō: Doki—Otome Darake no Sangokushi Engi game, which has already been adapted into a television anime series and a video anime. The franchise re-imagines the classic Chinese historical novel Romance of the Three Kingdoms (Sangokushi) as a "moe (fiery), moe (preciously cute) action love comedy" with an almost all-female cast. The Shin Koihime†Musō game was just released in Japan on December 26.
The same Romance of the Three Kingdoms novel also inspired KOEI's game franchise of the same name, KOEI's Dynasty Warriors (Shin Sangoku Musō) spinoffs, and dozens of anime and manga of varying historical accuracy.

I finished watching this anime as well x3
I have seen the first season as well and compared to the 2nd season the first one had a little more action. The 2nd season is more comical and less actiony. and there are alot of talking and like others have written as well, there have been some characters that have been seen on the opening and closing credits that i have not seen. This anime is fun to watch but sometimes i wanted to see fighting more than comedy. but ehhh... i had fun watching it and it was entertaining.
Yes sometimes watching other characters instead of the main one is more fun. =p
I do think that the creators should take their time and improve the episodes so they are evenly done. Like have this much comedy, this much action, and everything that revolves around that. And also to introduce more characters and see their stories a lot more deeper. :D
Also the animation keeps getting better and better which is something that you can notice if you have seen the first season =p
Anyways...this anime i would recommend if you want to laugh a little and just get unbored =p

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
