Squid Girl has come to the land from the depths of the sea to conquer humanity for its pollution of the ocean. Original Idea; Worth a Look

This is a nice break from the fighting and more serious animes/mangas. The idea is very interesting: a half squid/human girl, who intends to enslave the human race, but is much too simple minded. The story basically focuses on the human characters teaching her about humans, as they aren't afraid of her at all.
If you're looking for a comic relief, this is worth checking out; however, I doubt it will last very long, as this is an anime where it's based on little comic skits instead of major plot development.
