| Summary: |
Kyoko followed her true love and childhood friend Sho to Tokyo so she could help him reach his dream of becoming an idol. She cleans, cooks, works three jobs and does nothing for herself because she loves him so much, but gets nothing in return. Still, she remains by his side. But then one day she goes unannounced to his agency with a delivery, and overhears him talking about her; he reveals to his manager that he only took her with him as a maid, and that he doesn't care for her at all. Upon hearing this, Kyoko doesn't just sit around and cry. She cuts and dyes her hair, changes her clothes and attitude and thus begins her journey to join showbiz and have her revenge against Sho. |

This anime was dynamite - up until the very incomplete and cliff hanger ending. The manga itself is still continuing and to be honest I am starting to get worried about the entire plot of Skip Beat. A very cute anime however and really addictive. i hope the manga comes to a good conclusion soon (it is now at chapter 180 - the longest damn shojo I have ever heard of) and hopefully they will have a season 2. Oh well one can dream right? LOL. Watch this anime though - although the animation is not that fantastic the story is really good, the dialogue flows easily and the entertainment - well if you love comedy then this anime is really entertaining. :) a big thumbs up for this one.

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
