Keima Katsuragi is an avid galge gamer known at his school as "Otamega" (a derogatory term combining the words Otaku and Megane) and on the internet a "The Capturing God." One day he receives an e-mail offering him a contract to "capture" girls. He accepts thinking it's a challenge and a demon from Hell named Elsee appears. She asks for his help in capturing runaway spirits that are hiding in "real" girls. He refuses stating he only like the girls from the game and she tells him that if he refuses then both of their heads will be cut off. |

i randomly picked out this anime because i found the title interesting, and upon reasliing it fit the harem mould, figured i'd get bored of it after an episode or 2 like i usually do with others in this genre. but were normally i find harem stuff sexist and waaay too full of ecchi, this is more like a romantic comedy with a twist!!
instead of falling in l;ove with the girl of his dreams, keima instead is challenge to conquer, and hence save all these girls around him, that have "loose souls" (basically, are depressed, or have some problem in life)
but the really funny thing is, unlike most protagonists, he's not at all interested in real girls, only the pixiltaed ones he finds in games!!!
its a lot of fun, with tonnes of in jokes, and a bouncy stoyline!
watch it before the second series comes out this season!

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
