well for me...i prefer the tv series because this ova look so different and ikki and others seems so old ...also i miss the music from the tv series and is kinda dissapointing that the ova doesn't have the same soundtracks..but i get to see ringo's and ikki and others ability so it's kinda cool

Well this mini EP is based of a couple of chapters in the actual manga story...If you are a reader of the manga you would most likely like the animation since it is sticking to the manga.
