I'm surprised I haven't seen any reviews on this anime at all since I think it's one of the god ones. I haven't read the manga at all, but seeing this anime makes me want to pick it up! Now let's get into the actual review:

Firstly, I'm only at episode eleven (11) but here's what I think so far about the story: It's amazing! This is another original story that I'm sure a lot of people would love if they could just watch it for themselves. It's very easy to follow along (even for people that don't have much military knowledge) because most of what is going on is explained later (or coming up in future episodes hopefully). The dialogue might lose a few people (again because of terms that you may or may not know), but I didn't find it too hard to follow.

The main characters are developed well, although I hope to see something more for the supporting characters who interact constantly with the protagonists (only because I want to know how they came together mostly). I only hope that they won't end with episode twelve and will try to explain it in a later episode. Still, they seem to fit perfectly and they make the story come together. The music sounds familiar, not sure who it is but it makes the action scenes come to life and fills it with an intensity to make you wonder "what's going to happen next?"

As for the character design, I recognized it right away from the person who did Persona 4 and it seems to go well with the feel of the actual anime. The ships themselves (and some times parts of the scenery) are CG but overall the animation is very beautiful.

I really think this is a lovely anime and probably a lovely manga so I will go read it. But for now, I am anxiously awaiting the next episode of this series and if you are looking for something else new and original, then get this anime and stop wondering about the photo that shows a picture of a girl beside a submarine.
