Summary:
'Black Ghost,' a top-secret organization bent on promoting global warfare, kidnaps Joe Shimamura AKA 'Cyborg 009' along with eight other unwanted members of society from the four corners of the world and turns them into cyborgs. Though the organization intends to turn the group into super-powered killing machines, it's not long before Joe and his new companions rebel against Black Ghost and make their escape with the help of an old scientist. Using their new powers and abilities, our heroes stay one step ahead of Black Ghost and its evil machinations, trying to save the world from Black Ghost's diabolical scheme.
I remember this back in the day. They used to air it long ago but i still remember the main story. Basically it's about humans that have been abducted and modified to cyborgs. Obviously this implies problems fitting into society and so on, and the anime depicts the cyborg's emotional struggles and their daily lives. The characters are actually pretty epic and they form a team and defeat some bad guys. Problem is i dont remember who they were actually fighting. Some organization or something :?. Anyways it's a good anime and definitely not a waste (read more)

A simple story, boy on the run from the cops jumps off of a cliff and drifts to an island where he is experimented on and changed into an ultimate cyborg solider. All the characters have their own abilities and personalities, fire breath, disguise, KNEE ROCKETS!, and super speed.
The story starts with the main character waking up and then finding he has super powers basically..
He proceeds to meet up with a group of 8 other cyborgs that all have many of the same abilities as he does. They then escape the island and basically shinanigans ensue (read more)

I remember this anime as a kid, when I came home from school. I would plop right down on the sofa and watched the episodes, while eating of course. I used to enjoy watching this anime and look forward to it everyday. It basically a good anime, even though it tries to seem deep, impassioned and cerebral. It is worth watching. Enjoy!

A tug of war between two different flags with lossess on both sides, with romance interwoven in a great anime. Highly reccomended for Cyborg fans :)
