I dunno about some of you guys, but I think fate stay night stinks. (lol sorry)
but I was blown away by this movie. the animation is great. the fighting scenes are perfect, especially the archer scene when he's fighting beserker. the music is great too. actually, I love historical animes, so this movie and fate zero are the perfect ones for me. :)
but still, the movie does not change my view of shirou as a wimp. sorry shirou. :( I still dun like you.

this movie is the best i've seen in a while. The only thing it doesn't really follow the anime series of Fate/Stay Night. It's more based on the manga version of the series. But still differs from both. I give it 5 stars.
Although the movie is not the same as series, infact the story not touching at all, but the story more reasonable and more explain a lot about Fate Stay Night story
I give it 5 stars for the fight scenes, more cool and exciting, especially the main character becomes more powerful than the anime seriesnya
Though the story moves faster than the anime series and a bit weird but this story more exciting, even so i think I still choose the series

Okay for those of you who watched the original series be prepared for things to be "very" different. F/SN was based on a game which had 3 possible situations the series did the 1st (with elements of the 2nd and 3rd situations thrown in), this does the 2nd and the pacing (because it is a film not a 24 episode series) is a lot faster and in many ways expects you to know most of the back story so it tends to just speed on ahead.

It might not be as engaging as the original series but if you let the series and the film stand apart as two different stories, you will find this film good fun to watch and an evening well spent. (show less)
This movie is realy different from the original series. The story develops very fast, strays realy of course from the original and with a lot of twists.
It's an enjoyable movie to watch, realy liked it.
