Filled to the brim with brawn and balls, this shows is an instant classic in the shounen genre. The strong point of this show is undeniably its fights and story. The titular Hinomaru is a main character with an imposing figure despite his short stature, who looks way to rough to be a sumo wrestler? Hinomaru has of course a dream which he is trying to achieve. The catch is his own body is an obstacle in his way. A hurdle he can't fight his way past, but never the less he tries anyway.

My gripe with the show is its poor and somewhat inconsistent animation as well as uninteresting side characters on Hinomaru's team, The opposing rivals are very interesting on the other hand.

Definitely give it a whirl if you're a anisports fanatic, it'll prolly be time well spent. (show less)
