The saying totally applies to this anime. Brilliant animation and setting but terrible entertainment and story. Very very drawn out. The first 4 episodes are pure garbage. The anime is saved by it's Animation and settings only, which is brillaint. Very detailed animation and the whole futuristic setting is very well done. But that's the best it has. The characters are far from being intriguing with cliched stereotypes.
Overall an anime with excellent animation but underwhelming storyline. Watch it if you have time, but I don't recommend it if ( read more)

I know that there're a lot people who like this but this anime really cuts me off. Although I do like the story line I think they should have extended it out a bit and change it slightly. Everything was too sudden and fan-service was really obvious...

Beautiful animation
BGM is nice
"Camera" work is fluid
but too cheesy, the HOMRA chant and Scepter 4 announcing their name before they unsheathe the sword

If you can imagine Yuri on Ice! meets Holmes of Kyoto, then this is it. Slow paced but gripping. Boy-Love but not distasteful...
