This OVA was made specifically for the manga - and as I understand it Kyou, Koi wo Hajimemasu is a rather popular manga back in Japan, although it will be serialized in a live action series (as an otaku I think that's quite a waste). Read the manga though, it plays around pretty well with the modern day romance between two teenagers both having their own versions of "a first time". Love becomes a combo of a bitter sweet romance and for once you see some actual passion along with the fights that happen in this manga. This slice of life drama deals with alot of issues ranging from sex to cosplay to simply loving you best friend and worst enemy just as they are (read the synopsis and you will understand what I mean) a definite must see although I would suggest that you stay away from the OVAs they spoil the manga entirely. The 5-star rating is actually for the manga itself. it's right up the alley of Maid-sama, ToraDora, and We were there. Oh and one more thing, the manga (as well as these OVAs) are pretty steamy so if you don't wanna watch it JUST CLOSE YOUR EYES. HAHA Kidding. (show less)
