This anime is so ridiculously cute and sweet, it has given me a tooth cavity :) The initial comparison to K-ON is hard not to make(after all, it was the same studio who made it), but the similarities are superficial at best. The music club in this anime seems somewhat more ambitious than K-ON. Not that K-ON was unambitious, this music club just has a more pressing goal they are trying to achieve. Speaking of which, this show has a unusually large main cast, and I was worried first that they were gonna have trouble balancing that, giving each character equal space, but they pulled it off quite well, considering the number of episodes they had to work with. They even wrapped it up pretty neatly in the last episode, yet leaving room for a second season(which I hope will happen, beause even if this was by no means a bad show in its genre, there is room for improvement). The music is what you would come to expect, nothing earth-shattering, but nothing inherently bad either. The outfits they wear, are pretty damn cute though. The first four specials are full music video versions of four select songs they perform in the show, and then the final one is a new song they never performed in the show, along with a few extra scenes that seem to act as a sort of epilogue to episode 13. They´re not super necessary to watch the show, but if you grow to love it, you would want to see them :) (show less)
