OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!! Now THIS is what im talking about. Just about when people would have gotten sick of the love and peaceful crap going about in the world of anime, along comes this monster. There is really no point to a decent introduction to the plot if it is a short series and this anime did just that. Mazinkaiser got straight to the pure bloody action and fucked shit up, within the first 5 minutes. The concept itself was very interesting and original. Hell, the main characters themselves really were the messengers from hell...they ended up saving the world (somewhat) by blowing every single thing up except for some tiny edge of the island. Hell, you really don't even need to pay much attention to the characters, because its that fast paced and engulfs you into the story straight away. Excellent animation to go with it, simply made this a real masterpiece.

The only thing I can ask for...IS THEY MAKE A WHOLE SEASON OUT OF THIS RIGHT NOW!!!!!! XD For you action/violence loving maniacs. This is the icing on top of the cake; the vodka of alcohols, and the platinum of metals. Solid stuff. (show less)

I wasn't sure about it when I saw it uploaded, knew it was based off an older work but never was into that. I decided I might as well take a look based on someones good review here, couldn't hurt. The show is awesome and entertaining.

Its like the kinda show with fighting battle robots you wished for when you were a kid. Its pretty over the top with a new/retro vibe and its great. It doesn't try to take itself seriously it's just being cool and you'll be entertained if you like a lot of heavy action. I love that old school feel of it as well, even though I never seen the original work, it conveys well that heavy metal rock vibe no matter what, all while being slick and polished like a new piece of work.
