Summary:
The story revolves around high school student Akira Nikaido, a typical slacker living a normal life. That is, until he meets the mysterious Shirogane, a man who suddenly appears and tells him to meet him at the school that night. Though he is skeptical, he goes anyway, and subsequently gets attacked by a shadow monster. Shirogane convinces him that the balance between the human world and the shadow world has been distorted, and that Akira must become a "shin", which is a creature of the shadow world, in order to help restore the balance.

The story is insane! I never would have thought that something like this was real. Its like FMA in the sense that it gets funny quickly then straight to serious. I love it! Only problem is.......I cant choose my favorite character. Their either REALLY HOTT! or too awsome for words. I say yes! If you want hot guys, crazy story, and comedy I say watch this. XD
You know when a show is AWESOME when you finish watching the series and just can't get it out of your head. I'm addicted to it so much I've started to read the manga too.

i think the whole story is cute and adorable ,,,the reminders of the previous episode at the beginnig of each new episode is the funniest ever and the interaction between characters is explaining alot about their relationship with each other ,,although akira seems kinda overly self confident but he is cool and shirogane is definately the loveliest character and he was deeply in love with akira in a humorous way..i do recommend this for those who wish for humor and a bit of stupidity along the story

This anime is both comical and has deep moments as well. Akira and Shirogane are such a cute couple, though this series isn't exactly yaoi. The action is great and heart-pumping especially when Akira changes and the story, while most might think it rediculous, is acctually pretty thought out. I would recomend this to anyone who likes a little bit of shounen-ai along with action and comedy.

The anime starts off with a high amount of potential and excitement, but it seems that most of the episodes are extremely similar. Each episode has it's own story (with a larger story behind the scenes of course) and after only a few episodes its easy to start predicting what will happen: Darkness takes over because of emotions, talk to the infected person, darkness worm leaves body, kill it, rinse and repeat.
However, the characters are all lovable and interesting and when the main story finally heats up (takes a while), it gets really exciting. (read more)

I love this anime, it has everything i love to watch. It reminds me of a mix between bleach/claymore/naruto. If you like action/sci fi anime you will love this. It has a very simple plot so it makes it easy to understand and you dont have to go back and rewatch alot of parts to understand. It is a good change for those who are getting tired of anime that just seem to be all the same. I promise if you like the 3 anime's i mention above this anime is for you!!
