| Summary: |
Natsume Takashi has the ability to see spirits, which he has long kept secret. However, once he inherits a strange book that belonged to his deceased grandmother, Reiko, he discovers the reason why spirits surround him. Containing the names of these spirits, a binding contract was formed between the spirits and the owner of the book. Now, Natsume is determined to free the spirits and dissolve the contracts. With the help of a spirit cat, his days are filled trying to return the names to these spirits. |

This happens to be one of my favorite mangas. I love the anime and what they did with it, then again I love supernatural things, but really it shows you how the boy copes with his supernatural abilities and how he makes friends along the way.
It is in many ways heart warming.

A love this series. Its funny and has a big sentimental overview if you look in depth into every event that occurs. Its a great watch and worth recommending it to anyone.

I absolutely love everything about this series.
After reading the manga I decided to pick up the anime, and I'm really glad. The artwork is beautiful and the characters are interesting and unique in themselves, even the minor Ayakashi. The relationships between Natsume and his family and friends are realistic too - sometimes they're good, sometimes they're bad and sometimes they don't quite go the way they're meant to!
Takashi's character is enthusiastic, kind and flawed but you can't help liking him for his headstrong decision to return all ( read more)
