Sakai Yuuji is a regular high school student. On his way home, he encounters a monster that sucks up human life. On the brink of his death, a girl called a "flame haze" appears and saves him. Sakai then finds truth in his life and reality around him. An alternative retelling of the original "Shakugan no Shana" first chapter.

Interesteing slight reboot.

this an odd movie it casts itself as a slight different intro to the main season 1 of Shakugan no shana which is a hugh wonder why as .. it was already nice and extreamly epic.
Story. to be honest its alright.. why... simply put its almost the same. Many sceans are ripped from the main seaon 1 while most sceans actually cut tons of extra sentences... its comprehensible but anyone who has watched the Original - its a let down. Additionaly the end give the Idea that the Main male character is something special and dangerous... It feels out of ( read more)

I can see him building up like in the main seasons but he acomplishes a ton of things he couldnt originally do while in this film. All in all the end really just adds a lot more villians and cuts out a main chase sequence of another character.. not that much changes.
Dialogue.. virtually the same. Still as good as the original.. while the new additions are put in quite well.
Animation.. done well as always. Nothing lazy and very commited.
Entertainment.... well its good and if you have enough time for a intersting spin off sure it can pass. However my advice... just go watch all of Shakugan no Shana.. its epic its cool and the Original is put together better. ( show less)
