During a fiercely hot summer in Sotoba, a peaceful and quiet village with a population of 1300 people, a series of bizarre deaths begin to occur. At the same time, a strange family moves into a long abandoned mansion in the region. Hospital dean Toshio Ozaki cannot figure out the cause of death in the deceased, initially suspecting an epidemic. As investigations continue between the hospital staff and the residents, it turns out that the village is being attacked by vampires. |

I don't understand what is so scary in this so called horror anime? Ok, it's horror fantasy genre and we have a vampires, werewolves and villagers who whine about their lives endangered. And there is a vampires who are afraid of dying, big deal. What i liked is connection between cool monk Seishin and irritating shiki girl Sunako, but everything else was pretty much not so interesting. The first few episodes were repetitive. Animation style of characters is terrible, looks very cheap. Music is not that bad, but there is only a few themes and I quickly become bored to listen over and over the same melodies.
