Seriously this anime had the most and the best animated panty shots I've ever seen! If there was an opportunity for a close-up on a character it was at the waistline... any scroll shots of a character either began or ended at their panty! Crazy stuff!

The series itself had more promise than it delivered but it wasn't totally the panties fault. The storyline began solidly in the beginning as the characters are introduced and the mystery of Miyafuji's father is left hanging over you like the sword of Damocles... however, as the series progressed it felt like the storyline began to take a backseat to the panty shot. Now that's not all bad as this was an amazingly well-drawn anime. Technically, the animation is some of the best I've seen, almost 3D-ish in parts. The background music, especially the military 'march' type music is very appropriate and definitely adds an uplifting emotion during the battle scenes etc. The OP and ED were ok but I found myself skipping them more than not.

It was the story itself that I wish were more developed. While I realize there is a 2nd season and, to it's credit, the story progressed some in the latter episodes, it felt like there was just too much 'fluff' in the middle. Personally, I felt that if there were less focus on fanservice and more on the storyline this could've been a great anime, however as is, it's great entertainment, just not a great series.

If you've ever wanted to see an all-girl panty fest with excellent animation and outstanding action then this is it - however if you're looking for solid story that progresses throughout the series then prepare to be disappointed. I really enjoyed the premise, the animation, and action... I look forward to seeing the 2nd season and hope it will have a little more meat to this season's gravy!
