The capital of the empire of Euria is attacked by the empire of Titania, a much more powerful enemy that controls a large part of the galaxy. The story follows a soldier who flees the Titania empire and seeks refuge with the rebellion force, that rose up since the battle.
This is such an excellent anime, indeed balancing perfectly well the 2 sides of the conflict, with no clear good side or bad side, just good character or bad character. Princess Lydia is a very refreshing character who seems somehow out of place in this war-ridden story yet is like a representative of us watchers, but within the anime itself instead. She interacts with other characters but is (almost) never involved in any of the conflicts herself. fan of Banner of The Star must watch this anime.. and others should also see it 1st... you will watch it until the very end .. nice space fighting, excellent strategy, brilliant storyline, good politic drama, will Fan Hulic & Jouslain Tytania fight each other or will they band together... wait and see...
This show is pretty cool... if I were to describe it in a nutshell I might call it Code Geass in space. The viewer gets to enjoy two viewpoints while watching the anime: a rebel who is finding his own resolve for resisting a powerful interplanetary government, and the internal politics associated with the nobility of Tytania. All in all, it is really entertaining and my only complaint is that the show does not give the viewer enough closure.

This anime is one of the best I have ever seen. The story is very gripping, enjoyable and makes you feel for the characters. The dialogue is very well thought out and put a way that is easy to understand. The animation is EXELENT for an older anime. It is also very entertaining, with houmour scattered through, as well as heart rending twists. a very god watch. and the Introduction is awesome.
Having the charm of adventure, Tytania is unique and brilliant because of its focus on both sides of the conflict. For one, the characters in Tytania are excellent. Whilst the 'villians' are clear, it is great to explore how, and even if, the villians are wrong.
Thoroughly enjoyable.
