When Imperial forces attack the small border town of Bruhl, Welkin Gunther, son of late General Belgen Gunther, is forced to fight for his life alongside Town Watch captain Alicia Melchiott. Along with Welkin's adopted sister Isara, the three escape to Gallia's capitol and subsequently join the country's militia forces. As members of the newly-formed Squad 7, they must work to repel the invading Imperial forces and discover the true purpose of the invasion itself. |

I highly recommend this anime for those who have not seen it yet, the storyline is excellent, the animation is beautiful. A definite must see!

This story is about the battle between different race of people, trying to fight for their homes, sorta like war movies, but a more lighter and romantic, but enjoyable and moving anime!! well it as very addictive for me :P

This was a good drama, war story and had all the right ingredients-action, magic, sort of an alternative world, likable heroic characters, bishounen, bishoujo, but for me it fell just a little short of excellent. Maybe the story didn't expand as far as it could have or the main heroine's powers and the history behind them weren't explained fully. Also, the ending was abrupt and the comrades disbanded without really a feeling of resolution. Also, the character development was kind of flat so it was hard to build a strong sympathy for any of the characters. ( read more)

Also the plot development is a little slow and then winds up really fast towards the last few episodes.
Nevertheless, it's still a good watch and if you're looking for some fighting, some military situations/relations, romance, and a heroine with superhuman powers, then you'll enjoy it. ( show less)

I started watching this anime not really knowing what to expect, but I found myself mildly interested by the end of the first episode and so I continued. As the series went on I got to like the story more and more. It has great animation and a gripping plot. A refreshing change from the other more popular animes and I highly recommend it to all who might consider watching it.
