This was a good drama, war story and had all the right ingredients-action, magic, sort of an alternative world, likable heroic characters, bishounen, bishoujo, but for me it fell just a little short of excellent. Maybe the story didn't expand as far as it could have or the main heroine's powers and the history behind them weren't explained fully. Also, the ending was abrupt and the comrades disbanded without really a feeling of resolution. Also, the character development was kind of flat so it was hard to build a strong sympathy for any of the characters. Also the plot development is a little slow and then winds up really fast towards the last few episodes.
Nevertheless, it's still a good watch and if you're looking for some fighting, some military situations/relations, romance, and a heroine with superhuman powers, then you'll enjoy it.
