Summary:
After the outbreak of the unidentified virus "Lost Christmas" in 2029, Japan has been under the control of a multi-nation organization called GHQ. Ohma Shu is a 17 year old boy who has a psychic power in his right hand. He can use the power "Ability of King" to extract tools or weapons from his friends. He has been avoiding making trouble for others but his life changes when he meets a girl Yuzuriha Inori, a member of a resistance guerrilla group called "Undertaker", whose members pilot mecha weapons to fight against the government.
In general, the anime progresses very quickly, to the point I didn't quite enjoy watching it.
It feels as though the producers are trying to fit in so many characters and their development in just a few episodes.
SPOILER ALERT:
Any bleach watchers might find this irritating too as the lead keeps spiralling into depression mode, lose power and then get it back etc. those crap...
All in all, I'd say this anime is overrated and wouldn't recommend anyone to watch it. But its not that bad that I'd encourage anyone to not watch it. Still (read more)

I don't know what to say. After reading a bunch of great reviews I decided to give this one a try, and I've just been disappointed over and over. There is a ton of potential in the storyline, but it ends up playing out as ultra-typical anime with no big breakouts in the story or characters. I may be biased because, as a molecular biologist, I'm not a huge fan of their pseudo-science, but I honestly think its the characters that bother me more than the science. No one does anything new. I felt like I could predict every event before it happened (read more)

I felt like I could predict every event before it happened (mostly a lot of uncomfortable moments for the main char. and his girl friends). You watch the show for the amazing effects that occur whenever the MC pulls out someone's void (about 30 sec) and then... nothing. No big story, no exiting conflicts, just cheesy love triangles and another "oppressed Japan breaks out" story. The whole thing has a very "done before" kind of feeling, and it's been done better. I may continue watching, but I am not wowed. (show less)

The animation in this series is excellent but the story and the characters just fall flat. The main character is your typical reluctant hero but is among one of the most annoying lead characters I have encountered in an anime series. He is whiny, weak and soft. I know he is suppose to improve and get stronger with time, but the way in which the story progresses and how quickly he becomes part of the resistance, his character leaves much to be desired.
The story also progresses at a break neck speed which really ruins it as the character develop (read more)

It's really a poor series with brilliant animation and a good idea. That's it. (show less)

Totally agree. It's quite like . It's very much like Code Geass, in Code Geass a girl gives Lelouch the power and dies, a similar situation happens in this one too. And that was the breaking point for me. A similarities to some extent is good but this much similarities just plain sucks. Though I may give it a watch after some episodes to recalculate my verdict but till then this anime is a no go for me. Sorry fans I don't mean to offend you all but I had to make this review.

Okay this is the very first time I have ever given a anime a bad rating 2 episodes into a series. That said I can't comprehend why anyone would seriously give this series all stars. It is granted an anime of its own different from most but honestly the story's plot feels exactly like CG and GS. I mean they changed around the names the powers but the basis of the series is the same. I will wait for further episodes if you have not watched Code Geuss or Gundum Seed then yes this anime is awesome truly different and a complete mine field of clinches (read more)

Okay the anime is fine for those who dont know its successors. Hopefully they will make an excellent change later on then I will eat my words for now thumbs down to this one (show less)
